The works of Romare Bearden is what we took a look at this month.
Bearden’s primary medium was the collage, fusing painting, magazine clippings, old paper and fabric,
To start off this lesson we compared and contrast works of Jacob Lawrence and Romare Bearden.Since both men were part of the Harlem Renascence, I turn on some Miles Davies and we painted what we felt,as our painting dried I handed out some magazine and told the class to cut/tear out this that interested them and to make a collage as Romare would.Great job guys! 😉
