In today’s lesson, students learned how certin colors effect their overall mood in a painting.
To start the lesson off,I had my students share their favorite colors and describe what that color made them feel.
Afterward,I listed that color under the category of,”warm”and ,”cool”.Warm colors range from red to yellow hues on the color wheel. While cool colors are calming and subtle, for example, blue or greens.Once the students learned the difference between warm and cool colors,we moved on to painting our subject.
The subject of the day was the sun!Students folded their papers in half, then painted one side with warm colors and the other with cool.
